Winners of the Best Body Currambine Memberships Announced!

Hey, it’s Tarryn here, and I’m getting ready to open the founding memberships to Best Body very soon! I hope you’re getting ready to ROCK the best version of you. Anyways, I’ve got some great stuff in this blog post for you today….like…

  1. I’m announcing the winners of the Best Body Membership Contest.
  2. A brief intro to what Best Body is about (at its core – pardon the pun).

The Main Purpose of Best Body

The main purpose of Best Body is to HELP YOU become the best version of you – by getting better core strength, flexibility, tone, and achieve healthy weight loss in a supportive and encouraging environment – and feel good about making yourself a priority.

Best Body was created after it became clear to us that…

  • Too many people suffer from back problems, shoulder issues, knee pain, neck pain and migraines unnecessarily
  • Most people put themselves towards the bottom of their priority list – which leaves them exhausted and lethargic both mentally and physically
  • Too many people are not comfortable in their own skin and feel guilty about spending time doing something good for themselves

Anyways, Best Body is, quite literally, a project. And over the course of a minimum of 12 weeks – you’ll be building a better body and a better you. I will be too!

In fact, I’ll be selecting someone’s journey…and turning it into a successful inspiring case study. To help others earlier on in their journeys know what is possible.

We won’t only be teaching Best Body Currambine members how to build a better body.

We’ll be showing them as well.

  • How to get fit and health in a sustainable way
  • How to be motivated to continue making progress
  • How to be strong, pain free, and have a healthy weight body
  • How to make yourself a priority without anyone you care about missing out
  • How to be the best version of you
  • How to regain confidence to wear the clothing you love
  • How to feel good about yourself and be a better person for the people you love
  • How be at your best without the injuries
  • How to calm your mind and body when it matters most
  • How to be comfortable in your own skin
  • How strengthen muscles to offload and protect your joints to keep you moving smoothly
  • How to be aligned with a stronger mind
  • How to move away from back problems, shoulder issues, knee pain, neck pain and migraines
  • How to maximize your pregnancy journey and bounce back afterwards with your post-baby body

Winners of the Best Body Membership Contest Announced

We had SO MANY ridiculously good entries for the Best Body Currambine Membership contest. And thank YOU for all the amazing and thoughtful entries.

Picking two winners was very difficult and I couldn’t do it. So I’ve decided to split it into 4 winners of 3 month memberships.

It’s a little delayed as I have been busy running early morning events for our lovely Duncraig community.

But after lots of reading and thinking today, I’ve just chosen the winners.

Anyway, if you get a chance, it would mean a lot to me if you could take a quick sec and congratulate the winners in the comments section on the competition page – click here.

Hi Tarryn, I have always wanted to try reformer Pilates. I have struggled with my body since I was a kid. I topped the scales at 110kg and at only 160cm, was morbidly obese. Through surgery, I have managed to drop to 68kg. Yes, the excess weight has moved in the right direction, but what lies beneath my skin needs sorting out… I believe there are these things called muscles 🙂 I have always had a belly and really need to discover my core. I think Pilates is the only way I can find this hidden core. I really would love your help to transform my body. If I were to win this competition, you would get 110% commitment from me… I don’t do things by halves. I would be eternally grateful. Thank you

I’m so excited for the opening of Best Body Currambine! I’ve heard amazing things from friends that attend your other studios. I’ve read how helpful reformer Pilates can be for dealing with stress. I have two young children both with special needs and my day to day life is can extremely stressful. My commitment for 2019 is to take better care of myself so I can be there for my kids in the best possible way. My body has been through a lot over the years, cancer, a double mastectomy, miscarriages and complicated pregnancies. I’m hopeful that Best Body reformer Pilates is going to help me nourish my body and help elevate my muscle tightness, stress headaches and improve my core strength 🙌

Hi Tarryn,
I have been with Best Body Hillarys since the beginning. I was about to turn 50 when Best Body popped up on FaceTime announcing the opening of the Hillarys studio and looking for members. Struggling with my health and never spending any time on me, it was exactly what I was looking for. I had always enjoyed reformer Pilates having had some clinical Pilates classes due to ongoing back and pelvis problems. Also struggling with Hashimotos and always verweight and feeling down. I sent the registration request and on 27th June 2017 I received the email from Joel asking if I wished to become a founding member. I signed up, not knowing what was to come but super excited. What can I say some 19 months later my mind and body have changed dramatically. Everybody I
have met says I look great. But it’s not what’s on the outside, although that helps, it’s how I feel on the inside. My body is so much stronger, my back and pelvis problem is now manageable and I am not nearly in as much pain as I was prior to pilates. My mindset is also so much better, stress levels have reduced and I don’t let things upset me as I did prior to pilates. All the instructors have been awesome, and each one brings something different to a class. Anna with her gentle encouragement(🤣), Mikayla and her high octane express classes and Erin and her slower classes, but no less difficult. Each all welcoming and friendly and not to forget the friendly reception staff, they have all brought me to where I am today. I can honestly say that this is the most consistent I have been with any exercise program and that I look forward to attending each class. Recently when I had to miss four weeks I struggled both mentally and physically and could not wait to get back to it. I am constantly encouraging friends to give it a go and have some who are waiting for Currambine to open. It is therefore with a heavy heart that I am looking to transfer to Currambine as this studio is nearer to me. But I know that the same excellent levels of professionalism and friendliness will be at Currambine as they are at Hillarys. If I was lucky enough to win the 6 months membership well this would be the icing on the cake. Keep up the excellent work.

Congratulations on the opening of your new Currambine location, I know how much work goes into a business and so it is great to know how passionate you are about helping people lead more healthier and fulfilling lives. I resonate with a holistic approach and think that exercise is so important physically and psychologically. I know everyone has their own life stories and difficulties – and similar to most females I think that we often put others needs before our own, especially when we have children; well I know I did anyway. I am generally reasonably active and have always known how important exercise is for my well-being but since having my children, I have had difficulty making time for myself. Life has just seemed to get in the way, trying to work, parent, be a loving wife, and maintain a household, exercise seemed to be the first thing to go. This year, my primary goal was to put myself first and prioritise what is most important to me (aside from my family), and exercise and health is my focus. I had hip dysplasia (which was not diagnosed until I was a teenager) and ended up resulting in major hip surgery. I was instructed to never do high impact exercise again and told that I would likely need a hip replacement by the time I am 40. I am now 34. I am generally pain free but significantly limited in my flexibility and I think that Reformer Pilates may be my saviour and may really have a significant impact on improving my flexibility. To be honest, I have never tried a class but over the last six months I have thought about trying Reformer Pilates out on numerous occasions (but once again have never made it my priority). I am mostly happy with my body but my primary complaint (looks wise) would be that I would love to tone up and try to get my pre-baby body back. From people that I have spoken to about Reformer Pilates, toning is definitely a result of regular Reformer classes and I would love to feel confident and carefree about my body. In addition to all of the above, I love your notion of support squad. I think life these days has definitely lost the community / support spirit and I would love to be a part of your Currambine Reformer community. Your passion for making your members feel supported and encouraged in an environment that can feel daunting at times is so empowering and I know that it is the kick start that I need to start living my best life and making me accountable for my physical health.
