THE PREGNANCY STUDIO: HOW TO GET A REFORMER PILATES MEMBERSHIP FOR FREE

Hey there, I hope things are starting to return to normal for you – we’re excited about fully re-opening our studio’s over the coming weeks.

Anyways…as you probably know, we’re reopening The Pregnancy Studio soon for memberships.

We’re excited to get back to what we love doing the most – helping ladies stay pain free, body strong, flexible, toned, and maintain a healthy weight with bub – and staying in shape both physically and mentally – so they can live their best life in a body they love throughout pregnancy.

Now, check this out…I’m going to run a little contest here and give a membership (3 times per week for 3 months) to a lucky winner: I’ll announce the winner on Monday evening.

We want to make some good things happen after a challenging couple of months for everyone.

This is YOUR chance to win a Reformer Pilates membership.

This Will Only Take a Couple of Minutes…All You Have to Do Is Answer ONE Question

In the comments section of this blog post, tell me…

  1. How you think a Reformer Pilates membership can help you over the next 3 months, coming out of this pandemic

(Note: If you’re particularly excited about staying strong, healthy, and fit throughout your pregnancy journey – then…let me know EXACTLY which aspect you most want to achieve. Also share details of how Reformer Pilates has already helped you!).

That’s it!

Entries with more SPECIFICS have a better chance of winning.

On Monday, I’m going to go through every single one of your responses and award the winner in the evening. If you win, you’re gonna get

  1. Access (3 times per week) to The Pregnancy Studio for 3 months, where you’ll receive guidance and support to maintain a body you love throughout pregnancy.
  2. A support squad to help you recover quicker post-bub…

I’ll award one winner.

I’m really excited to read your entry and hear what you have to say…

Good luck!

Scott ‘Excited to get back to a new normal’ Wescombe

P.S. I’ll update you this week if you are interested in early access for the full reopening of our The Pregnancy Studio.

Reformer pilates has been amazing for me mentally and physically. Having a toddler at home, reformer is my “me” time and I feel like a new person every time i finish a class. I never exercised with my first pregnancy and since starting reformer this pregnancy has been so much easier as i am keeping active . 3 months membership would mean i am keeping active and strong. Being in isolation has been so hard especially not being able to do all the things i love to do. I feel amazing after pilates so this would mean the world to me

I’d absolutely love a three month reformer membership. I have been a member for nearly two years now. I enjoyed Pilates so much I attended the pregnancy studio classes last year to maintain my fitness. I now have a baby girl and a lot of weight to loose. I try and keep up with home Pilates but miss the reformer. The reformer kept me in amazing shape and got me trim and toned in time for my wedding day. I want to look that good again and be able to wear a backless dress! I ❤️ Pilates Reformer classes, fingers crossed

Hi Scott! Unfortunately due to covid restrictions, I’ve been a bit slack with exercise which should be my priority during pregnancy. This membership would ensure I get my mind back on track, help my posture, and build up my strength and determination for a natural birth. My baby is currently in a good position and I want to keep her there with Pilates skills, mind and breath work.

Wow what an awesome incentive Scott! I’m not the worlds best writer but I’ve always been told to give everything my best shot. So here it goes…..

I have been living in Perth for 4 years, (Originally from South Africa), met a beautiful French man, we had a baby (now expecting our second) and it’s been an absolute roller coaster both having full time jobs and not having any family here to support us (date nights are a thing of the past!) but through all the tough times, we have found that doing things for ourselves really helps keep us happy and strong. And for me that is pilates. It doesn’t only do good things for my body but soothes my mind from the chaos. It’s 45 mins of peace and quiet from the crazy world. I did pilates with your team during my first pregnancy and I still have friends from our early morning classes where all we did was complain about how fat we were and how pregnancy insomnia was the worst! But great friendships were made and your classes made that happen.

Why would this be even better post COVID? Well financially it would greatly help as we have had pay cuts but mainly because I have felt a bit trapped during this period and what a great way to meet new friends who are expecting Mums! One can never have too many friends. They are our supporters when family isn’t around.

    That’s it from me!

As a full time working, pregnant mum of a two year old (and I’m sure some of the other ladies are in the same boat!) I have found lockdown life very hard, especially without the ability to attend classes at The Pregnancy Studio. I had just found how helpful Pilates could be for my sciatic and hip pain, not to mention that special time every week when I could completely switch off all other thought and focus on myself and the little baby growing in my belly, when classes were forced to stop.

I want to feel good about myself, feel fit and healthy, and most of all create the best possible environment for my unborn baby. I want to feel strong throughout my labour. I want to feel proud of doing something for myself. I feel like I can at least have a good go at making all these things happen when I get back to weekly classes. Hopefully reopening is really soon!!

    Hi,

I used to attend the Pregnancy Studio in my first pregnancy and found it amazing. I have tried many sort of Pilates/ yoga before but never found the drive and passion within myself to stick to it. It has been so amazing to find a form of fitness that is for ME and that makes me feel strong and empowered. In the last two months, I have lost my job and so has my husband. It has been very hard time financially and our lives as for so many other people has been deeply impacted by COVID-19. I don’t think I am any more deserving than any of the other beautiful women applying for this membership too but I do hope my application is still considered.

I had spinal surgery (lumbar discectomy) for a bulged disc that had incapacitated me and my ability to work at the age of 23. Since then I’ve been plagued with aches and pains (be it my back, or the major muscles running off from there) and limited in my capacity to exercise without re-injuring myself.
Spinning, jumping or sudden jerky, twisty movements are a no go – something I’ve had to learn the hard way. Since the surgery I’ve tried a variety of exercise options and while I’ve enjoyed many, I’ve never been able to remain pain free. It turns out a lot of exercise involves the aforementioned movements. Even yoga could cause a wee back twinge for days!
I started pilates over a year ago with one aim, to build strength in all aspects of my body gently – so that this one ‘weakness’ no longer controlled my physical experience. Gradually, with the detailed instruction of your teachers, the small but deliberate movements have helped me strengthen and fortify my body so that I live consistently pain free. Do I have great bulging biceps? no. But I’ve had those in the past and they didn’t make one lick of difference. The quiet strength pilates has built and maintained gives me more confidence in my body and movement than ever before.

I would love this. This is my fifth pregnancy but would be first take-home baby. We are genetic carriers and have suffered four second trimester losses which have all been tragic and heartbreaking. This pregnancy is finally my healthy baby and I’d love to shift the focus to my changing body. Even though it appears bubs is healthy, it’s still a pregnancy filled with anxiety so the mental health benefits of regular exercise would be a game changer for me. I have been to the studio in previous pregnancies (although short lived) and reaped the benefits of reformer pilates. With all the extra specialist appointments and scans, we’ve had to shell out quite a bit financially so a free membership would be greatly appreciated!

I started going to reformer pilates in Leederville more than 2 years ago.
It helped me to get out of a drepession and kept me healthy and fit and busy which I loved.
Loved going to the studio ‘cause the trainers are the best!
Now I’m 9 month pregnant and I have been going to the pregnancy studio when my body asked for!
3 months membership will be great for me as I can keep pushing myself after baby and keeping my mind busy!

Thanks for the opportunity! I attended the studio 3 times per week during my first pregnancy less than 2 years ago. It was the best thing I did for myself & baby! I maintained a strong & healthy body & mind thanks to the classes. The instructors at the studio are extremely good & knowledgeable. I have recommended the studio to a number of expectant friends over the past 2 years & they all loved it. I am now working full time with an 18 month old toddler & this pandemic has rly taken its toll mentally & physically & I’m feeling & looking the worst I ever have. I would rly appreciate the opportunity for some time out to myself to try to feel as good as I did during my first pregnancy. It would also be lovely to meet other expectant mums too now.

I’m a first time mum-to-be to a little girl (that I cannot wait to meet!) and currently working full time but have been hit with pay cuts as a result of COVID-19. I have been attending The Pregnancy Studio 1x a week since I was 12 weeks pregnant and absolutely love it, but would ideally love to be able to attend more often to get the full benefit of reformer pilates. I look forward to each class knowing I’m helping my body get prepared and stronger for labour and recovery and it’s a great break from sitting in front of a laptop all day! I even look forward to the sore body and muscles that kick in 24-48 hours after class! The instructors have always been diligent and supportive based on each attendee’s individual needs. Even returning to classes after a break due to COVID-19, getting follow up text messages from Tiari to see how I found the class showed genuine care and great service. Apart from some casual walks, reformer pilates is really my only form of exercise that I enjoy and do so I would absolutely love to have a 3 month membership!

I am a second time mum with a toddler and new baby girl. I attended the pregnancy studio throughout my pregnancies and found it kept me strong for labour. I am hoping to attend mums and Bubs classes to get my strength and fitness back and would really appreciate the free membership!!

As someone who has chronic pain from a neck injury many years ago reformer Pilates has changed my life. Unable to do most traditional strength building exercises, reformer based classes help me so much during my pregnancy and beyond. Due to my partner and I having to cease work whilst the covid 19 restrictions have been in place I’ve noticed that my physical health has declined and my spine has become rigid and painful again. I would be so grateful for a 3 month rehabilitation program so I can be the best mum I can be and keep up with my toddler. I was so impressed by my ability to not only feel strong during my pregnancy (due to the pregnancy studios classes) but ended up having a 2hr labour. Wow! My body was so strong and that helped my mental health & the belief that my body could do anything I needed of it. It would be great to feel that confidence again.

First of all a massive Thankyou to you Scott and your beautiful wife, who made sure that this tricky few months, all of us were able to keep doing what we love through online.

I joined pregnancy reformer classes in my first trimester.
Being a horse rider and active person every day for long time now, I had to give up horses while pregnant and I Was looking for alternative. When I found you guys my goal was to keep continuing to keep myself fit and pain free throughout the pregnancy.

I been now with Best Body over 3 months and I actually got fitter than I was before and I been enjoying my pregnancy every day. Every instructor you have always make sure we workout hard and doing the right movement which I absolutely love it.
The positivity in every class is so beautiful which keeps motivating me so much.
So far I’m 27 and half weeks pregnant and I haven’t had any pain around my body.
I want to keep continuing pregnancy reformer classes now as you opening the studio and my plan is to go all the way. Also I would love to return after the baby has born and I’m settled in.

Big Thankyou to all of you. What a great way to start each day ☺️❤️

    Lots of love,
    Bri

Ballet (non-professionally) has been a big part of my life for a very long time. I am used to feeling in control of my body and pregnancy has really thrown me for a six, as I oscillate between wanting to scrounge back that control and being hesitant to do anything that may inadvertently be detrimental.

I had only just started pregnancy reformer classes before COVID-19 threw a spanner in the works, but it was such a relief to know that I was able to start to get to know my body again in a really supported, safe environment.

Returning to pregnancy pilates via a Reformer Pilates membership will give me peace of mind that I am doing the right thing in terms of my health while working to maintain my strength and flexibility and preparing my body for the rest of pregnancy and beyond.
