  1. Fatigue– Know your limitations. If you feel sore after a sparring session then it’s best for you to take a moment’s rest and replenish yourself with water until you feel you can go on again.
  2. Sores / swelling – Ice your injuries and wrap them well. Don’t forget to elevate them to minimize the swelling.
  3. Abrasions / Scratches- Clean the wound area with soap and water. Use a good antibacterial ointment to aid against infection and put in a good adhesive bandage afterwards.

Serious injuries such as torn ligaments, breaks, dislocations and lacerations are also prevalent but these are usually caused by accidents and can be avoided if you and your sparring partners follow the safety precautions provided by your coach.
