HOW DOES REFORMER PILATES WORK?

Reformer Pilates is all about counteracting the negative impact of a sedentary lifestyle. It involves using the reformer mechanism to undertake a variety of gentle and controlled movements that challenge your body.

Unlike high intensity workouts that can put a strain on your joints, or intense yoga practices that overextend your muscles, Reformer Pilates is so safe and low impact that it can be used when recovering from injuries and even during pregnancy. Named after its founder Joseph Pilates, it was first developed to rehabilitate soldiers injured in war.

While it involves smooth and flowing movements, you will still work up a sweat and get your heart rate pumping when performing certain exercises on the reformer.

IS THERE A STUDIO NEAR ME?

We have around 20 studios across the Perth metropolitan area and a single studio in Devonport, Tasmania. Each of our Reformer Pilates studios offer first-class facilities, with a modern fit out and high-quality equipment. With 10-16 reformers per studio, our classes are small and intimate so that our instructors can pay close attention to you. We offer classes all throughout the day, from early in the morning right through to evening sessions.
