BEST BODY MANDURAH: HOW TO GET A REFORMER PILATES MEMBERSHIP FOR FREE

Hey there, I hope things are starting to return to normal for you – we’re excited about fully re-opening our studio’s over the coming weeks.

Anyways…as you probably know, we’re reopening Best Body Mandurah soon.

We’re excited to get back to what we love doing the most – helping people get pain free, body strong, flexible, toned, and achieve their ideal weight – and becoming physically and mentally unstoppable – so they can live their best life in a body they love.

Now, check this out…I’m going to run a little contest here and give a Best Body membership (3 times per week for 3 months) to a lucky winner: I’ll announce the winners on Monday evening.

We want to make some good things happen after a challenging couple of months for everyone.

This is YOUR chance to win a Reformer Pilates membership.

This Will Only Take a Couple of Minutes…All You Have to Do Is Answer ONE Question

In the comments section of this blog post, tell me…

  1. How you think a Best Body Reformer Pilates membership can help you over the next 3 months, coming out of this pandemic

(Note: If you’re particularly excited about getting back into shape fast, physically and mentally – then…let me know EXACTLY which aspect you most want to achieve. Also share details of how Reformer Pilates has already helped you!).

That’s it!

Entries with more SPECIFICS have a better chance of winning.

On Monday, I’m going to go through every single one of your responses and award the winner in the evening. If you win, you’re gonna get

  1. Access (3 times per week) to the Best Body classes at Mandurah for 3 months, where you’ll receive guidance and support to build a body you love.
  2. A support squad to help you rebound out of this pandemic faster and better…
  3. Strong, healthy, fit, and toned! (and happy!)

I’ll award one winner.

I’m really excited to read your entry and hear what you have to say…

Good luck!

Scott ‘Excited to get back to a new normal’ Wescombe

P.S. I’ll update you this week if you are interested in early access for the reopening of our Mandurah studio.

I had just joined your club and then got bursitis in my shoulder and was devastated cause had enjoyed the classes I attended and was so looking forward to getting fit with Pilates had done mat Pilates over 15 years ago but enjoyed the reformer. Just as shoulder was better everything was locked down literally the week I was coming back to get into my new fitness regime and now need it more than before as lockdown has been extremely hard.

I would love this. We are wanting to try for another baby soon but I haven’t hit where I want to be pre pregnancy to feel confident enough again after my last pregnancy. So having this over the next three months I feel would help gain confidence get my fitness back up well before we start trying again and stamina to continue through pregnancy.

To be honest, my back is not happy doing regular exercise and I’ve noticed my muscles are tighter than usual. I have a knee that has 20 plus years post ligament reconstruction and I’ve homeschooled 3 little guys plus self isolated and worked every day during this period as I’m a health care professional. Basically I’ve put myself last for months as I’m a single parent, it’s past time to put myself first and get my body and health back on track.

I’ve always wanted to try Reformer Pilates for multiple reasons, but I’ve been a bit afraid to try. I have have back issues (bulge in my disc) that causes sciatica and it has been really getting me down at the moment. I suffer from depression and during Covid with the gym being closed and not motivated to do online programs I’ve really struggled. My body confidence is very low and I want to feel fit and healthy again. Winning this prize would help me to feel better about myself and as I work in Aged Care I would be more functionally fit for my residents too.

Hi! I challenge you to find some muscles in my menopausal body I’m pretty sure that my muscles have disappeared and lost forever !

Over the past 4 years I have put my family, job, business and pretty much everything else first and unfortunately me last. My body and my mind have not been looked after and just when I was ready to start looking after me …….. Coronavirus came !

Sooooo I’m absolutely ready to find my beloved muscles again and regain my health, wellbeing and overall happiness

I had a baby via c-section right before COVID 19 broke. Not long being home, restrictions were put in place. Here I was, trying to recover from major surgery, be a mum to a new born who had weight gain problems, be a mum and play mate to my 9 year old who couldn’t see her friends or go to school, and on top of all that, I needed to homeschool. Year 4 Maths is hard. It’s harder when your sleep deprived and in some kind of semi permanent exhausted pigeon state. I was, I am, a mess.

Worst of all, during this pandemic I couldn’t even escape the house to try and clear the suffocating fog of COVID-19 that was consuming what little internal deep happiness I had left.

So how do I think reformer Pilates will help me?

It will help my body recover, it will help me feel stronger and fitter, but most importantly, it will help to get my mind healthy.

Having the support and the feeling of a community with like minded people will provide an outlet for the tough days that have been, and I’m sure, the tough days that may be ahead.

So this isn’t just about fitness of the body. It’s about reconnecting my mind, body and spirit through putting myself first, even for just a little while.

I have just had my first baby and he is now 4 months old. I had a non-elective C section in the end which was definitely not the plan! Having your first baby amid the Covid crisis was an interesting experience and now that restrictions are easing it is so good that we can re-enter society!
I have been exercising in iso but because of the restrictions in place I am not where I would like to be. Reformer would be amazing to help me tighten and tone up my core a legs again. It would help me regain mobility post surgery too! As a previous fitness model I would love to get my pre baby body back and I think reformer can really challenge my strength, mobility and stamina! What more do you need from a workout?
      Thanks for reading!

Pilates nourishes the mind, body and soul, which is what we all need right now coming out of this pandemic.
After a very isolating time, I feel that Pilates is the best way for us all to reconnect with ourselves, our families and our bodies.

Putting it simply……” Self Love “ is why I would love this.
3 years ago I injured my back and along with that came a lot of side effects physically and mentally.
It forced me to really start looking at my health and mental wellness, but I procrastinated and stopped and started any efforts. I have followed Best Body since you started talking about first opening in Mandurah but guess what! I procrastinated and never joined.
Since the Covid 19 restrictions came in I really started to research and dig deeper and have worked hard on my self sabotaging and have made big changes to my diet and daily routines and mindset.
So coming out of this pandemic now I am ready to be pain free physically and embrace really living my “Best Life “ – mind – body and soul

The keys to living longer and staying healthier are in my hands. I want to stay physically and mentally active, take preventive measures to avoid major diseases, keep a positive attitude and stay connected socially. I want my great body back. I was stuck by major trauma (cancer) in 2013 and then again in 2017. It has taken me so much to remain healthy and robust, and I must admit the pandemic has been a huge setback for me both mentally and physically. I need help now and this is why I would love to win this amazing prize offered. I am in desparate need of some body work. A little care and maintenance can keep my body looking younger and running smoother so I can get more from life.
Scott I need your 3 month best body membership for free. I dont expect disability, dont expect my brain to fail, dont expect to be frail and dont expdct expect myvsex life to stall – I want to be in control with some help. Your membership has the game plan for my good health, and also making me once again feel good about myself. My mind and body are joined in marriage, for better or for worse, and in sickness and in health, therefore my emotional state needs adjustment after such a long period of isolation….Feeling good about myself, having a positive outlook and staying active and involved, is definitely going going to make me more likely to be happy — and healthy. I really want to win this membership.

I’ve never been one to put myself first. That’s always seemed selfish to me. So, for the last 20 years, I’ve put my husband and his needs first. I planned my life around him and his schedule. And that made making time for me, my physical and mental health difficult. Then. In June last year, our marriage disintegrated after I found out he was having an affair. With a younger, skinnier work colleague (what a cliche, hey?). I was locked out of our home and she moved in. I lost everything. I went through a very tough time mentally. Physically too. I had a total breakdown and lost a lot of weight – but not in a healthy way. But through the love and support of family, friends and workmates (and a fantastic psychologist!) I came through it.

It was around 6 months after the split that I decided, for the first time in my life, to put myself first. I’m all I have now. The success of my life, and my happiness is my responsibility. No-one else’s. Pretty scary! I had lost some weight, but wanted to lose more. To be healthy. But more importantly, I wanted to get STRONG. I also suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis and know that exercise is so important for that. I was walking past your Mandurah studio one day and thought “I want to do that”. So I did. I took the plunge and signed up. I absolutely loved the classes. You have no idea how amazing that is for me! I have always hated exercise. But I loved this. It made me feel healthy and strong – even when my muscles were aching the next day! But it also gave me a real boost to my self esteem. I was doing this for me – proving to myself that I was worth it. No longer comparing myself to the other woman. I was taking time out and switching off. It’s so good to have to concentrate on not falling off the reformer and not having time to think about anything else!

The closure of the studio was so disappointing, as I was just starting to get to know some people, which I’ve always struggled with, as I’m quite shy. But I totally understood why it was necessary. I admit, I’ve found myself slipping back into some old habits from “before”, while being in quarantine at home. I can’t wait to get started again and continue my journey into my new future as a strong, healthy, self confident single woman!

I would love the chance to win. I struggled for many years after my first son was born, mentally and physically. I never found a fitness program I liked until I found your Pilates studio in Mandurah. I am so excited to get back in there when you reopen (Counting down the days) . All the instructors are so incredible and so caring.
I’ve found since covid started my fitness and health has declined again. We want to start trying for another baby this year, I am determined to try stay fit and attend during this pregnancy too. I truly believe doing your Pilates classes motivates me to be as healthy as I can be for my family. And even better it makes me feel good and more confident in myself and I enjoy the classes every single time.

After starting reformer Pilates back in June 2019 I quickly noticed a massive change to my body shape, core strength and mental health.

My body was more toned then it had ever been. I was constantly being complimented and asked what I was doing differently. I’ve always had a healthy lifestyle and been active but could never achieve the results I got from Pilates.

My core strength has improved to a point where my back pain has significantly eased and I no longer require frequent chiropractic appointments.

With the easing of pain, a body I was proud of my mental health also improved. Plus the enjoyment of working out with instructors who push me to be better and stronger, I love going to Pilates, I’ve missed it a lot and I can’t wait to get back into it.

This would be amazing, it would help me tremendously with not only my lower back pain but it would help me mentally. It would give me the chance to escape my chaotic life as a mum and help me focus on myself and my own health again. I have lost all strength and tone that I once had before and iv lost motivation these past few months, but I’m ready to get back into it and I would love to work on building my upper body muscle and core strength again. My back and neck have been an issue for me and I know that this could truly help me with the pain. The core strength and the all over physical changes is also what I would want from this. This will help me become a stronger, happier and fit person/mum. It would be life changing!

Well basically I am falling apart.
I don’t like Doctors, It can never ever be just something simple with me everytime I go which is not often as they find something major
My bodies weak, I don’t have much strength in my arms and legs are giving me trouble now, my body just hurts constantly, so sleeping is well I get what I can.
Yesterday the doctor said, while looking for something else in my test results and it shocked him..they found that I have Forestier Disease which is also known as Diffuse Idiopathic Skeleal Hypetostosis (Dish) which is a form of arthritis which affects my ligaments and tendons and mines in my spine, and my body.
I am still trying to get my head around it as I am a active person and have been puttting up with the pain until it got so bad I had to go see the Doc as I couldn’t even sleep.
His doing a management plan up and organising a physio. There is no cure..
But a healthy diet, excercise to keep muscle strength, pain relief will help prolong it.. but how quick it takes over depends on the individual..
I am 57 ..5 great kids and have 7 grandkids so far that I love doing things with walking, playing games, exploring with ..I don’t want to be cripple and lose mobility..
So after a cry, I haven’t come to terms with it all yet , but I decided to fight and do all I can to prolong things ..live and enjoy and do eveything while I can.
So here I am entering your comp, win or not I am still interested in your classes..

I would love this opportunity. I have had a terrible time so far in 2020 and it feels my world has been taken up and shaken.
I have come out the other end of an abusive relationship. My wedding in March was cancelled (ironic that it would not of happened because of covid19 anyway – universe stepping in) all the guests notified, all the plans cancelled, all the things I bought given away or sold, all I have left is a wedding dress still hanging in cupboard unused. I have gone through not eating for months to eating but not caring. I have gone through not caring about anything and being so sad to trying to get some sort of me back. Covid19 has effected my work and me as many feeling very isolated. . I use to be super fit and know how good exercising makes you feel but it is more than that to me it is the step back into a fitter, stronger, healthier women I have inside me. I would love to absolutely throw myself into this. Thank you.

I joined the Mandurah BB’s just after Christmas to try and become more flexible. After not doing much exercise for the last 10 years I had started working out at the gym to become fitter but my flexibility was terrible. I was really enjoying attending 2 reformer classes a week and after 6 weeks had started to feel I had a small improvement. Then in March I was struck down with illness that turned into emergency surgery for 8 hours to remove 50 cm of my intestines. It turned out that I had a cancer causing a blockage that resulted in my needing an illiostomy bag. I spent several weeks recovering and lost all fitness that I had gained. Thankfully at this stage all my cancer has been removed and I do not need Chemo.

Now Covid may have inconvenienced many but due to your innovation of going on line with Pilates and offering beginner classes I was able to start to work out again. I started with a couple of classes a week, along with long walks. After 5 weeks I have built up to 5 classes a week and just recently 2 a day some days. I would love to say a big thanks to the online instructors especially Felicity whom has helped me immensely.

As the online classes are winding back I would like to see if I am now stong enough to start back at the Mandurah Studio with some light work. My flexiblity is still a big issue as I have extremely tight hamstrings and now have a weak stomach due to the stoma.

3 months free would be great and 3 classses a week would really help with both my strength and hopefully flexibility.

Thank you for the way you innovated during the Covid lock down. I am sure that BB will come out the other side stronger just as its member will.

After hearing my girlfriend rave about Best Body Pilates in Perth for the past 2 years, I finally took the leap and joined Mandurah.

I had just attended my 3rd class and was so very excited that I had finally found something that I could really enjoy and would be very beneficial to me when Covid hit 🙁

I have been attending the 1:1 classes with Carol and and thoroughly enjoying them but definitely looking forward to group classes and working on my core strength and looking after my body as a whole.

I am a member from April last year and just love the instructors and the classes. They are all so different and engaging.
I have always been more into classes of combat, aerobics, and sports like volleyball and basketball, not really that keen on mat work. However the reformer bed work is amazing. I love it. Having just retired, I am not doing anywhere near as much ‘get up and doing” in my day to day, so I can’t wait to get back to Bestbody. My core strength and muscle tone have definitely declined and my bottom seems to have inflated!

Joining Best Body Mandurah as a founding member when it opened was the best thing I’ve done for myself in a long time. It has helped me both mentally and physically in my everyday life. The 6am classes were a great start for me to get through the very busy day I had ahead of me.
Unfortunately I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer just after Christmas in 2019, I needed my classes more than ever at this stage and attended them until the day before my surgery. I had two months for recovery after my surgery and was glad when I could start again, I managed to get two classes in before Best Body had to close because of Covid-19.
I am currently off work until early August after finishing my treatment and I’m now looking forward to getting back into my Pilates. Like alot of people I have struggled with mental anxiety through this difficult time so a 3 month membership would be a great start to get me strong again both mentally and physically.
Either way I look forward to when the Mandurah Best Body opens again and I can get back to my classes with our great instructors and crew that attend, thank you.

I have been recommended to do reformer pilates for the development of strong core, arm and leg muscles to support a chronic injury I have -> a trapped sciatic nerve. This has caused me immense, and often life interrupting pain, for approximately 2.5 years. I currently seek physiotherapy and undertake almost daily exercises prescribed by the physio and I walks almost daily as well. I enjoy Yoga but know that reformer pilates will be a game changer for me and my body – 51 years on this planet. I do take medication to control the pain but prefer to be on the absolute minimum possible as I run a successful business with many clients that need my cup to be as full as possible.
Fingers crossed to win and begin the next step!!

A few months prior to Covid 19, i joined Best Body to help with shoulder injuries due to my occupation. I also have suffered sciatic pain since having my kids 22 years ago.
Never had i been able to find anything to successfully lessen the pain related to these things…then came reformer pilates- @best body. I quickly got stronger and pain free, first time in a long while.
I’m so eager to return, as due to the progress i had made, prior to this pandemic, my surgeon tells me it is looking very much as tho i wont be needing the shoulder surgery i was going to need. Reformer pilates has strengthened and repaired my soft tissue injuries.

I have not always looked after myself or valued my self worth. Too busy with children, work life, relationships, caught up with life and all it’s stresses, etc. Just recently I have come to realize how important it is to take care of myself, to nurture, care for my body, mind and spirit. Hi Scott,
I came across Pilates March last year and what a life changer. In its self, the life-work balance is something I’ve never experienced (and probably never let myself have).
The crisis we’ve all experienced in one facet or another with COVID has been challenging- however the online classes, accessibility, support and positivity of Best Body…has blown me away. Everyone I think.
In this day and age, I see a lot of business owners That don’t ‘feel’ their customers… you have 120%.
I can’t wait to get back to the studio, not just for the body benefits, but for the welcoming and fun atmosphere.
I’m not the most social person, so lockdown has suited me to a degree, but I’m ready & excited to keep growing & challenging my self.
It was the most decision of my life to get assessed by Margaret and sign up. Thanks for everything. Regards, Martha.

Prior to Best Body closing their doors earlier this year, I felt as though I was making so many gains in myself, both physically and mentally. My strength had improved and I felt ready to tackle anything. I have been so thankful for the Best Body at Home program as it has gotten me up each morning and has ensured that my routine has remained. A three month membership would give me the opportunity to use the money that I would’ve spent, to put aside for my goal to climb Annapurna Massif to raise money for a charity that I hold dear to my heart. Best Body will also help me to build my strength and flexibility to achieve this goal and will ensure that I continue to look after my health and well-being.
